V.C.A. is an A.C.E. school.

From its beginning, Accelerated Christian Education® has maintained high Biblical and academic standards and remained committed to setting children on a path for success. The goal is the same today: to prepare children for the world today and give them the academic and spiritual tools necessary to achieve their God-given potential.

Accelerated Christian Education’s concepts are based on the following Five Basic Laws of Learning:

1.A child must be at a level where he can perform.
2.He must have reasonable goals.
3.His learning must be controlled, and he must be motivated.
4.His learning must be measurable.
5.His learning must be rewarded.

Based on these principles, the A.C.E. curriculum assures parents of:

•A solid, mastery-based, back-to-basics education for their child.
•A course of study diagnostically individualized to meet a student’s specific learning needs and capabilities.
•A program incorporating Scripture, Godly character building, and wisdom principles.
•A curriculum using advanced computer technology to help ensure the finest education possible in today’s high-tech climate.

Stanford 10 & OLSAT 8

Accelerated Christian Education® offers one of the finest achievement and aptitude test combinations available, the Stanford Achievement Test Series, Tenth Edition Complete Battery (Stanford 10), and the Otis-Lennon School Ability Test, Eighth Edition (OLSAT 8). The Stanford 10 is a technically advanced assessment tool that can provide valid and reliable data to evaluate and guide students’ progress toward meeting academic standards. The OLSAT 8 measures those abilities that relate to a student’s ability to learn in school. When the two tests are taken together, the scores are a valuable tool, relating a student’s actual achievement with his or her school ability, and providing a wealth of information that parents and school staff can use.

College Entrance Examinations

Most graduates of the A.C.E. program are capable of attending college. Many colleges require applicants to present results of a college entrance examination, the two most popular being the SAT and the ACT. Some students take both the SAT and the ACT. Some will also want to take the PSAT as a practice test during their junior year. ACT and SAT scores are indicators of potential for college work and are important determining factors in admissions decisions.
